YAPS ON DESIGN

  • some movies

My mood board featured screen shots from the movie In The Mood For Love (2000), directed by Wong Kar Wai.
Another movie which has possibly influenced the current direction of this project is 2046 (2004), also directed by Wong Kar Wai. The mood and feeling that these movies portray is something I’d like to have in […]

  • Research findings

I’m currently reading through the books I’ve borrowed.
Trying to find stories for my project has been a long and tedious task. Most of these are simply uninteresting or the meaning was possibly lost in translation. The conclusion of several stories seemed flat and unsolved. These were particularly found in 100 Ancient Chinese Fables, 100 Chinese Myths […]

  • Recounts or Folklore?

A couple nights ago a dear friend of mine came over and she asked, “You have your major project this year, right? How’s that going?”
So I explained to her my idea, my uncertainties, my indecisiveness and the overall “padding” and “grit” we have to get through before we get into the making of the project […]

fiBlog.

Ok, so it haven’t blogged since high school and I get very embarrassed when my old blog is mentioned.

This one, however, is different. It’s a documentation of my major project for my final year in B Design (Visual Communcation) at University of Western Sydney. It’s a design blog, so expect design wank. A lot of it. But I do love a bit of design wank. After all, design is something I love very dearly. Bring on the wank!
